Restorations
If part of a tooth has been lost through decay or damaged due to an accident, a restoration may be used to plug the cavity (hole) to stop any future pain or discomfort. At Chelsea Dental and Dermal Clinic we only use tooth coloured composite for all our restorations. At all our practices we are able to offer mercury free dentistry and the successful changing of old amalgam fillings.
Restorations vary greatly in size and cost due to the number of tooth surfaces which are to be covered. Specialist restorations such as inlays / onlays (laboratory made porcelain fillings) maybe used in place of crowns or old leaking fillings to achieve a more aesthetic result.
